Care and Usage Instructions for 3D-Printed Products

Thank you for choosing our 3D-printed products! To ensure your items remain in excellent condition and serve you well, please follow these care and usage guidelines specific to the materials used in their creation: PLA, TPU, ABS, and PETG.

General Safety Notes:

  • Avoid exposing 3D-printed items to extreme temperatures, as this may weaken or deform the material.

  • Keep items out of direct sunlight for prolonged periods to prevent discoloration or warping.

  • Use only mild cleaning methods as described below to avoid damage.

  • These items are not food-safe unless explicitly stated. Do not use for food storage or preparation.

Material-Specific Guidelines:

PLA (Polylactic Acid)

  • Characteristics: Biodegradable, lightweight, and available in vibrant colors.

  • Care Instructions:

    • Clean with a damp cloth and mild soap. Avoid abrasive cleaners or scrubbing pads.

    • Store in a cool, dry place to prevent brittleness.

  • Dos and Don’ts:

    • Do: Use for decorative items, lightweight tools, and models.

    • Don’t: Expose to temperatures above 50°C (122°F), as PLA may soften or warp.

TPU (Thermoplastic Polyurethane)

  • Characteristics: Flexible, durable, and resistant to wear and tear.

  • Care Instructions:

    • Wipe clean with a damp cloth. For stubborn stains, use a mild detergent.

    • Avoid stretching the product excessively to prevent permanent deformation.

  • Dos and Don’ts:

    • Do: Use for phone cases, protective gear, and flexible components.

    • Don’t: Store under heavy objects that could cause flattening or distortion.

ABS (Acrylonitrile Butadiene Styrene)

  • Characteristics: Strong, impact-resistant, and suitable for functional parts.

  • Care Instructions:

    • Wash with lukewarm water and a soft cloth. Avoid using harsh chemicals.

    • Keep away from direct UV exposure to prevent yellowing or weakening.

  • Dos and Don’ts:

    • Do: Use for mechanical parts, prototypes, and durable items.

    • Don’t: Use near open flames or high heat, as ABS is flammable.

PETG (Polyethylene Terephthalate Glycol)

  • Characteristics: Durable, semi-flexible, and resistant to water and chemicals.

  • Care Instructions:

    • Clean with warm water and mild detergent. Dry thoroughly after washing.

    • Avoid scratching the surface to maintain its clarity.

  • Dos and Don’ts:

    • Do: Use for water-resistant items, storage containers, and outdoor applications.

    • Don’t: Expose to abrasive materials or over-tighten components made from PETG.

Additional Tips:

  • Regularly inspect your 3D-printed items for wear and tear, especially if they are functional or structural.

  • If an item breaks or shows signs of damage, discontinue use immediately to prevent further issues.
